Graeme Knipe breaks his silence
A father has broken 15 years of silence over the sex abuse he suffered as a child because he feared the abuser was targeting his two children.
Graeme Knipe, 25, told police of the ordeal he suffered as a nine-year-old at the hands of Paul Lazell, of Staines. As a result, Lazell was jailed for 18 months in December.
Graeme, of Rowland Way, Ashford Common, has two children and believed he had seen Lazell trying to photograph them in a park as he changed his son's nappy.
This week he waived his right to anonymity in the hope it would help to save other children from the ordeal the 65-year-old sex beast put him through.
In an exclusive interview with the Herald & News, Graeme recounted how the paedophile plied him with alcohol before assaulting him and how the trauma led him to attempt suicide at the age of 14.
He said: "He ruined my life. I think he preyed on young boys and I hope he never does it to anyone else."
