WHITER smiles could be beaming across Egham when two pals open a new dental practice in the town centre.
The new, five surgery NHS dental practice, called The Tooth Booth, is opening through Surrey Primary Care Trust, in Station Road, on May 19 and hopes to attract around 10,000 NHS patients from across the borough.
NHS Surrey PCT have earmarked a substantial fund into providing NHS dentistry to residents of Egham, Englefield Green, Virginia Waters and Chertsey and the ultra-modern practice is already taking bookings ahead of its opening.
The Tooth Booth is a partnership with a wealth of NHS experience and manages a portfolio of successful NHS dental practices in the Home Counties. Co-principals of the practice, Dr Amit Rai and Dr Fizan Tahir, who are also best friends, have been award the British Dental Association's 'Best Practice' award for a number of their other practices.
Dr Tahir said: "The dental team here, myself Dr Amit and some colleagues, is a vibrant and enthusiastic team solely focused on patient comfort and outstanding patient care within a warm atmosphere.
"We are delighted to be bringing NHS dentistry to the people of Runnymede, and hope everyone who needs to see a dentist will feel at ease at our friendly and state-of-the-art practice"
The Egham practice is at 64-66 Station Road a short distance from Egham railway station. Disabled access to the practice is available, and there is ample parking. Opening hours are 8.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday, with emergency slots and Saturday appointments available.
