“This is a great opportunity for recognising someone who may not normally get noticed through the usual academic and sporting criteria,” said Natalie Clarke, Runnymede Borough Council’s Leisure Development Officer.
“The members of the Youth Council were very keen to recognise those who are not elite in sports or very academic but had shown determination and commitment. They wanted to show that those dedicated young people were not forgotten and were recognised by the Youth Councillors.”
