Katie Savill
Ann Viney from Shepperton has nominated her 15-year-old daughter Katie Savill to be the face of Elmbridge Fashion Week 2009.
Ann, of Sherbourne Gardens, said of her daughter: "I always thought Katie would make a good model because of her height and she is very photogenic. She is interested in all the latest fashions and I thought if I didn't enter her she wouldn't do it herself.
Katie, a pupil at Heathside School in Weybridge, who is 5ft 11inches, added: "I've always been told by mum and my friends I should get into modelling. I'm pleased my mum entered me and if I was to get through it would make me so happy and proud. I've never won anything or been picked for anything before."
Another entry hairdresser, Roni Francis, 18, of Falcon Drive, Stanwell, said: "My mum found the competition for me. I love fashion and all the different styles of clothes.
"I really want to go into the fashion industry and I feel that taking part in this competition will further my career."
The hunt is still on for more entries so keep those photos coming in.
We're looking for 20 models to take part in the show, which will run from March 13-15 at Walton Playhouse in Hurst Grove, Walton.
There are four categories for aspiring catwalk stars to enter, and all the photos of the nominees will be featured in a special edition of the paper and on our website in January.
Herald readers will then vote for their favourites and the model who polls the most votes will be crowned our overall winner and scoop a top cash prize of £250.
The show wants models in the following categories, girls and boys aged between five and 14-years-old, teenagers aged between 14-20 years old, men and women aged between 30 and 35 years old, and men and women aged 50 plus
Men taking part should be 5ft 9ins tall or more and women 5ft 5ins or over.
Prospective models have to agree to publicity and be available for audition on Sunday February 8 at Weybridge Village Hall in Church Street.
