Elmbridge Fashion Week - all systems go!

EFW takes place at Walton Playhouse

Forget the doom and gloom of recession and loose yourself in a weekend of glitz, glamour and fine fashion.

The annual spectacle that is Elmbridge Fashion Week takes place at Walton Playhouse in Hurst Grove, Walton, this weekend.

Some 85 local men and women, many of whom have never attempted modelling before, will be taking to the catwalk at shows on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings (6.30pm and 8.30pm) and showcasing the best fashions from shops in Elmbridge.

The event is raising money for the Mayor of Elmbridge's charity appeal, which this year is supporting Sparks, a charity that funds paediatric research, and for Assisting Communities in Elmbridge, which puts money forward for needy families.

This will be the fourth annual Elmbridge Fashion Week and once again the event is being media sponsored by the Surrey Herald & News, so look out for pictures from the event in our newspapers on March 18th and on this website from Tuesday.

Plus we want you to share your memories of the weekend by sending us your photos and captions - and we'll publish as many as possible.

Tickets to the shows are £5 and can be bought on the door, or in advance by calling Theresa Chambers on 01932 840084 or Pam Ling on 01372 474474.
