Woking on tiger watch

BASED on the much-loved picture book written and illustrated by Judith Kerr, The Tiger Who Came to Tea, is coming to the New Victoria Theatre, Woking.

The doorbell rings just as Sophie and her mummy are sitting down to tea. Who could it possibly be? What they certainly don't expect to see at the door is a big, stripy tiger.

Exciting and charming, The Tiger Who Came to Tea has been enjoyed by millions of children since it was published over 30 years ago. Now, for the first time ever, the tale of a tiger creating tea time mayhem is brought vividly to life on stage in a show packed with oodles of magic, sing-a-long songs and clumsy chaos.

This classic story of Sophie and her extraordinary tea time guest has been lovingly adapted for the stage with songs and lyrics by David Wood. Suitable for ages three and up.

* Performances will take place at 1.30pm and 4.30pm on Thursday October 2 and Friday, October 3, and at 10.30am and 12.30pm on Saturday, October 4.
