WHILE most Staines players and fans cannot stop thinking about their FA Cup date with Millwall, Danny Gordon has a more pressing engagement on his mind.
The Swans' skipper (pictured right) misses Saturday's FA Trophy tie with Bashley to tie the knot with fiancée Martine.
But don't panic - the new Mrs Gordon will not be whisking her man off on honeymoon, so he will be in the Staines rearguard to face the Lions at 1.30pm, at Wheatsheaf Park on Saturday week.
He said: "We were never going to go away on honeymoon straight away because we had our little girl, Olivia, at the beginning of the year, and she's still a bit small to travel."
Gordon's impending nuptials means many of the Swans players will drive to the New Forest on Saturday, before driving back to be at their captain's evening reception.
Boss Steve Cordery is expected to bring back Howard Newton, Gareth Risbridger, Marien Ifura and Simon Jackson for the meeting with the Southern Premier leaders.
They sat out Saturday's 3-0 defeat to Welling for fear of picking up a yellow card, which would have ruled them out of the Millwall tie.
Gordon insists the club's heaviest defeat in many a moon was just a one-off. He said: "It's been a couple of years since we've been turned over by three, but hopefully that's just a blip and the boys on yellow cards will be back for Bashley.
"I'd say the Trophy is quite high on our list of priorities this season. I got to the semi-final with Aylesbury under Steve (Cordery) and should have made the final."
