RYMAN PREMIER Ashford Town........................5 Billericay Town......................1
Mark Butler believes his Ashford side have turned the corner after thumping nine-man Billericay Town on Saturday.
The Tangerines were on the receiving end of a 7-1 home thrashing by Tonbridge a fortnight ago, but have picked up back-to-back wins in the Middlesex and Surrey Senior Cups since.
And boss Butler thinks they're over their mini-slump.
He said: "I think we've put Tonbridge to bed now and its time to move on.
"We are on course for where we wanted to be, although I would like us to be a bit more consistent than we have been."
It took the hosts just eight minutes to get of the mark when Adam Logie pounced on a lose ball in the box to fire home.
Warren Harris doubled their lead on 25 minutes after a long-range free-kick found him unmarked at the back post.
Things got even worse for the visitors when keeper Tony Tucker got first use of the shower gel for handling outside the area.
And Rikki Burbridge was next for an early bath after the break, allowing Harris to complete his hat-trick and Byron Harrison to bag his 10th of the season.
And Butler heaped praise on young-gun Harris.
He added: "Warren Harris has been a dangerous player all season.
"Not necessarily scoring, but crossing to someone who has scored."
Tangerines patron and former Mungo Jerry frontman Ray Dorset took in the demolition.
