Byron bites back

RYMAN PREMIER Harrow Borough......................0 Ashford Town...........................1

Byron Harrison came back to haunt his old club as Ashford edged out Harrow Borough last night.

The Tangerines hitman fired home the only goal of the game just before the break when he latched onto Adam Logie's pass.

Ashford survived a flurry of late corners to seal the points, and had Ricky Wellard to thank for a goal-line clearance in the dying minutes.

Elsewhere, Scott Todd's penalty couldn't prevent the reserves going out of the Middlesex Premier Cup to Staines Lammas.

Chris Baker and Craig Masham fired the visitors 2-0 up at the break, before Todd halved the lead 20 minutes from time.

But Jay Coombs sealed Lammas' place in the next round when he scored late on.
