WALTON will be looking to improve on last season's fourth-place finish and secure promotion to the Surrey Championship Premier.
After five years as captain, Giles Henderson has stepped down with Jim Moyes taking over for the 2009 season.
Walton's squad has been strengthened this year by the return of several players.
Coach Chris Harrison is available again having missed almost two seasons with a knee injury, while Matt Turvill is fit again after missing last season with a back problem.
Seam bowler Ed Henderson also returns to the club after missing nearly two seasons travelling.
The team will be strengthened by the expected arrival of Dinesh Chandimal, captain of the Sri Lanka U19 team.
Last season's leading performers Jason DeReuck and Mark Bainbridge will both be hoping for another good season with bat and ball respectively.
