Paul Burrows scored his third goal in as many games as an understrength Englefield Green Rovers edged out Rayners Lane on Saturday.

The visitors were missing six regulars, but Burrows netted the only goal of the game in the second half, curling home from 20 yards to give the visitors all three points.

On-loan keeper Jeff Smith was solid between the sticks for Green, who almost broke the deadlock shortly after the interval through Steve Howard.

However, Gerry Kelly's depleted side nicked the points with Burrows' effort.
