Halliford U9s hit 10!

Four-star displays from Samuel Groombridge and Thomas Bradley led the rout as Halliford Colts U9s demolished Hurst Park Allstars 10-4 on Sunday.

Groombridge's quartet of goals earned him the man-of-the-match award ahead of his team-mate, while Samuel Roach's double completed the scoring.

The U9 Boys had no such success as their unbeaten run came to an abrupt halt against a much-improved Sheen Lions side.

Harry Leney stood out with a manof-the-match performance in defence, but even his heroics couldn't prevent his side going down 3-0.

The U10 Juniors were unlucky to go down to defeat to Kew Association Youth in a game where they were unable to take the chances they created. George Fergusson was named man-of-the-match.

In the non-competitive age groups, the U7s went down to Esher Athletic Colts. It was a story of not finishing in front of goal for the youngsters, for whom Thomas Madle was star man.

Goalkeeper Luke Clark stole the honours in the U8 Boys' game with Whitton Wanderers with a string of fine saves. At the other end Jack Thompson scored twice, including a spectacular free-kick, and Jasper Mather was also on the scoresheet.

Meanwhile, Liam Greaves scored twice for the U8 Colts against Rocks Lane Rovers, with team-mates Matthew Allen and Harvey Langston claiming one apiece.
