Dean rockets Staines to glory

Staines Town kept up the heat at the top of the Ryman Premier with victory at high-flying Tooting & Mitcham on Saturday.

Dean Thomas fired them in front with a 35-yard rocket, and Richard Butler put them two goals to the good.

The hosts hit back to halve the deficit, but Steve Cordery's boys hung on for the points.
