Meet Staines Town's enforcer

Davis Haule was meant to be Staines Town's midfield enforcer this season - but lack of time on the pitch has forced him to join Wealdstone on a permanent basis instead.

Haule went on loan to the North London outfit in November because he felt he needed games after failing to get a regular first-team place at Wheatsheaf Park.

But this week he decided his future lay with the Stones - currently sitting nine places behind Staines in the Ryman Premier.

"The situation is still the same," said Swans boss Steve Cordery, "and I think Davis preferred regular football at Wealdstone, which I could not offer him.

"There's no way I would criticise him for wanting to play games, but it's disappointing because we thought he could add something different to the squad."

Cordery is not going back into the transfer market for a potential replacement because he feels he has enough ammo already in his fired-up promotion-hunting squad.

Despite picking up just one point in their last two games, Swans are still the closest challengers to runaway leaders Dover.

Swans are 17 points behind the Kent outfit after last night's win over Harlow but have a full 16-point cushion from sides outside the play-off zone.

"It does give us the freedom to go for absolutely everything - including the title," added Cordery.

"We have got a lot of goals in this team and are just going out to get three points from every game and see where that gets us.

Despite the gap at the top, Cordery is refusing to wave the white flag in Dover's direction.

He said: "We won't think it's over until it's impossible."

With striker Leroy Griffiths in the Caribbean until next Wednesday for a wedding, Cords is hoping that striker Elliott Onochie will be back in time for Saturday's home match against in-form Carshalton Athletic.

"He has declared himself fully fit, but is having trouble getting a flight back from the United States," added Cords.

"If he arrives on time he goes into the squad."

There will be a late fitness test for defender Marien Ifura (knee).
