Staines Town surrender maximum points at home again

RYMAN PREMIER Staines Town............................2 Wealdstone...............................2

STAINES twice surrendered the lead as they were held by 10-man Wealdstone on Saturday.

Leroy Griffiths crashed home the opener for the hosts, but their lead lasted only a minute as Wealdstone went straight down the other end to level.

However, the Swans hit back immediately when Griffiths bore down on goal, only to be poleaxed by Stones keeper Sean Thomas.

Thomas was sent for an early bath, and Richard Butler buried the spot kick to edge the hosts in front again.

But Wealdstone didn't lie down, and pegged Steve Cordery's boys back for the second time in the game from the penalty spot in the second-half.
