Staines stars may miss Weymouth clash

TOMORROW'S visit of Blue Square South strugglers Weymouth may be too soon for the return of some of Staines Town's stars.

Dominic Sterling (pictured) has had the plaster cast removed from his broken hand and replaced with a lighter support, and is back in light training.

But Simon Jackson is closer to a return, having missed the last eight weeks with a dislocated shoulder, and should be in contention for a place.

Ali Chaaban is more likely to be fighting for a place against former club Bromley on Saturday week, however, after bruising his knee a few weeks back.

But the good news is, even though it is the same knee that kept Chaaban out for a large part of last season, there is believed to be no ligament damage, and he was expected to be jogging this week.

Former Brentford striker Charlie Ide should feature after moving to Wheatsheaf Park this week.
